Life Story for William H. "Bill" Vangenewitt Jr.

WILLIAM “Bill” H. VANGENEWITT, JR., age 74 y ears, died on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at York Hospital in York, PA. Born on October 17, 1938 in Pittsburg, PA, he was a son of the late William H. Vangenewitt, Sr., and Evelyn Busch Vangenewitt.

Bill, formerly of Baltimore, MD, had lived in York County for over 30 years. He was a self-employed business owner and operator of the Amber Light Inn in Delta. He was a United States Army Veteran and President of the Rotary Club of Maryland. Bill enjoyed coin collecting and going to casinos.

He is survived by:
His companion and business partner for the past 38 years, Jean Roberts of Delta, PA

Two children-
William Edward Vangenewitt and Amber Dawn Coover, both of Baltimore

Six grandchildren-
Jessie Arron
Donald, William, Keith, Patrick and Ravin Coover

Five great grandchildren-
Gavin, Travis and Van Neal Vangenewitt
Morgan and Donald Busick

Two brothers-
Richard Vangenewitt and his wife, Linda; Walter Vangenewitt and his wife, Lori, all of Pittsburg, PA

Devoted nieces-
Shannon and Marie Vangenewitt

He is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Vangenewitt.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 30, 2012 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Amber Light Inn, 517 Aubel Road, Delta, PA. Please note that the bar and restaurant will be closed on Sunday.

Cremation will follow with no additional public services.
