Life Story for Lilly J. Blackburn

Lilly J.  Blackburn
LILLY J. BLACKBURN, age 63 years, died on Monday, January 7, 2013 in her home in Colora, Maryland. She was the wife of Danny Blackburn with whom she had shared 45 years of marriage.

Born on June 14, 1949 in Honaker, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Mabel (Hess) Belcher. Previously from Port Deposit, Mrs. Blackburn had lived in Colora for the past 22 years. She worked for Constar International at the Havre de Grace, Maryland location for 32 years and was a member of Trinity Free Will Baptist Church in Darlington, Maryland. She enjoyed spending time with her loving family.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by:
A son, David Blackburn and a daughter, Burnetta Richardson and her husband, Michael, all of Colora

Five grandchildren-Justin Brooks, Daniel, Aaron, Michael and Carah Richardson

A great grandson, Landon Britton

Four siblings-
Lucy Boyd and her husband, Edward of Stewartstown, Pennsylvania
Harold Belcher and his wife, Phyllis of Darlington, Maryland
Valerie Adkins and her husband, William, also of Darlington
Melvin Belcher and his wife, Debbie of Perryville, Maryland

Numerous nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Sexton.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 11, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Trinity Free Will Baptist Church, 3414 Cedar Church Road, Darlington, Maryland where the funeral service will be held on Saturday, the 12th at 11 a.m.

Her minister, Pastor Chris Karschner and Reverend Amos C. Richard will co-officiate.

Entombment will be in Harford Memorial Gardens, Aberdeen, Maryland.
