Life Story for Naomi G. Ball

Naomi G.  Ball
NAOMI G. BALL, age 81 years, died on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 in Churchville home. She was the wife of John Ball who died in 2006.

Born on March 27, 1933 in Richwood, WV, she was a daughter of the late Albert D. and Mary M. (Adler) Rudd. A homemaker, she had lived in the area for the past 50 years and was a member of Baptist View Church. She enjoyed Bible Study at Smith’s Chapel in Churchville, MD; working puzzles, cooking and baking. Mrs. Ball took great pride in her flower and vegetable gardening.

She is survived by:
Three children-
Darlene Ball and her husband, Ralph of Churchville, MD
Katrina (Connie) Diamond and her husband, Kevin of Sicklerville, NJ
Linda Gentry and her husband, Ronald of Bel Air, MD

Eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren in addition to loving nieces and nephews.

Two sisters-
Mildred Taylor and her husband, Delanor of the State of Florida
Wanda Karnasiewicz and her husband, Walter of the State of Michigan

A brother, Raymond Rudd and his wife, Mary Ann of the State of Delaware

Four stepchildren-
Janice Presley of Havre de Grace, MD
Dorothy Scarborough and her husband, David of Darlington, MD
John S. Ball, Jr., and his wife, Vanessa of Churchville, MD
Joyce Masone and her husband Paul from the State of New Hampshire

She was preceded in death by:
Two children-Melissa Arlene Mays and Terry Lee Mays.
A sister, Rosie Little and a brother, Robert Rudd.
Two step daughters-Lucille Hooser and Ruth Barringer.

Serving as pallbearers will be Ralph Ball, Kevin Diamond, Ronald Gentry, Michael Miller, Michael Ayers, James Gibson.

Honorary pallbearers- Ronald Gentry, II; Derek Van Dyke, Stephen Miller and Tyler Gibson.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA where the funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday. Reverend Paul Papp will officiate with interment in Churchville Presbyterian Cemetery, Churchville, MD.
