Life Story for George A. Monath, Jr.

George A.  Monath, Jr.
GEORGE A. MONATH, JR., age 61 years, died on Friday, July 11, 2014 in his Whiteford, MD home. He was the husband of Kathy (Brown) Monath with whom he had shared 36 years of marriage.

Born on July 4, 1953 in Baltimore, MD, he was a son of the late George A. Monath, Sr., and Jose Marie (Leroy) Monath. Previously living in Edgewood, MD, he had lived in Whiteford for the past 22 years. A master plumber by trade, he had been employed for 9 years with Pro-Tech Mechanical, LLC in Joppa, MD. He attended Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church in Whiteford and was a loving grandfather, enjoying nothing more than the times spent with his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by:
Two children – both of Whiteford
Jackie Newsome and her husband, Greg
John Monath and his wife, Amanda

Three grandchildren

A sister, Christiane Carter of Essex, MD

A father-in-law, George Brown

He was preceded in death by a sister, Lilliane Woelfer

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA.

No funeral services will be held.

A time for sharing memories of George will beheld immediately following the visitation at The Peach Bottom Inn, 6085 Delta Road, Delta, PA. Refreshments will be served.
