Life Story for Evon A. Baugus

Evon A.  Baugus
EVON A. BAUGUS, age 94 years, died on Monday. August 11, 2014 at Hart Heritage Estates of Street, MD. She was the wife of Leroy Dwight Baugus who died on December 4, 2007.

Born on February 22, 1920 in Ennis, NC, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Margie (Killon) Norman. Mrs. Baugus had worked for the former Bata Shoe Company during WWII and later for the former Dallco Sewing Factory in Delta, PA. In York County, PA, she had worked for the Extension Office traveling throughout the county into family homes with personal instruction in food preparation and meal planning.

A homemaker, she enjoyed vegetable gardening, canning foods, sewing and belonged to the quilt club of her church. At Calvary Baptist Church in Bel Air, MD, where she had been a long time member, she also active with the Sunday School Committee.

She is survived by:
Two sons-
Albert D. Baugus and his wife, Wanda of Denton, MD
Alec N. Baugus and his wife, Thelma of Ephrata, PA

Three grandsons-
Dean Baugus
Brian Baugus
Bruce Baugus

Ten great grandchildren

Additional survivors are two step grandchildren, Rick Fisher; Lisa Stewart and two step great grandchildren

All services will be held on Friday, August 15, 2014 at Calvary Baptist Church, 206 E. Courtland Place, Bel Air, MD 21014. Visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. followed immediately with the funeral service at 11 a.m.

Interment will be in Slate Ridge Cemetery, Delta, PA.

In lieu of flowers, her family would appreciate memorial contributions to her church at the above address.
