Life Story for Billy M. Kelley

Billy M.  Kelley
BILLY M. KELLEY, age 71 years, died in his home in Delta, PA on Thursday, October 30, 2014. Married on October 1, 1981, he and his wife, Esther (McLean) Kelley observed their 33rd wedding anniversary on the first of October.

A son of Iva Lee (Johnson) Kelley of Belcamp, MD and the late William Andrew Kelley, Billy was born on June 15, 1943 in Baltimore, MD. Billy was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam Era and was a member of the Slate Ridge Post #182 of the American Legion in Whiteford. MD. Working as an equipment operator for Harford County Department of Public Works, Highways Division, he retired in July of 2005 with 30 years of service. A gun enthusiast, Billy was a lifetime member of the NRA, enjoyed hunting and fishing in earlier years as well as being fond of cooking and baking.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by:
Two children-
John Rutoskey of Baltimore, MD
Kathleen Byers and her husband, Brian of Perryville, MD

A sister, Linda Kelley of Lancaster, PA
A brother, Edward Kelley of Aberdeen, MD

Two step grandchildren-Lauren and David Byers.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 9 from 1 - 2 p.m. at the Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA.

The memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. with Mr. Robert J. Dodsworth officiating.

Military honors will follow the memorial service.
