Condolences

Condolence From: David Bulger
Condolence: To the Gunn Family. As a new small jet pilot in a new city at a new company I was feeling a bit overwhelmed. Pete helped me tremendously with learning the ropes at the company, in the airplane and getting settled in Maryland. He was an easygoing, effective teacher and a good friend. I am saddened at the loss of this true gentleman and expert aviator. We know he will be missed by family and friends.

Condolence: Our family moved South when we were pretty young so I didn't get to see Donnie very often growing up but whenever I saw him, he was so kind and generous. My favorite memory is from 1981 when I was hiking with my 3 tiny children at Laurel Falls in the Smokey Mtns. I happened to notice a group of folks that appeared to include my cousin Donnie and Santa. As I stood there staring to convince myself it was real one of the folks asked what I was staring at. Donnie turned and said, "that is one of my favorite cousins." He, Santa and some friends were visiting from a conference in NC that day. We had not seen each other in years and yet his big heart generously acknowledged us as kin. Donnie will always be that generous person to me. Much love to you all! Susan

Condolence: Gunn Family, Pete was a great guy and exceptional aviator. Pete and I flew often at USF&G and we had a good time where ever we went. Whether long talks about life, or just playing a little golf, Pete was a pleasure to be with. I considered him a good friend and mentor. He made me a better person. He had a good run. Sorry for your loss.
