Condolence From: Zachary Radel
Condolence: Sam had a beautiful comedy and spirit about him. His laughter was contagious and his smile even brighter. He was a friend to all living creatures and cared a great deal for the Human Tribe. We had a lot of fun in Home Room from 7th til 11th grade. We would talk football, music or just about growing up and the future. Sam and I were and will always be DeadHeads. We cared about the culture, the music and the harmonic vibrations that filled the air from the Grateful Dead and other free form Music. It was very heart wrenching to hear of his passing, knowing the amount of time we spent in young life. The last time I saw Sam was at the Muddy Forks Harvest Fest in York 2003, and it seemed like absolutely no time had passed since the last time we saw each other. He was a friend then, now and in the after life. As I lay down for rest on the night of hearing of his passing, I prayed to Spirit that his journey be safe and magical to the other side. Right after this prayer, In a completely calm windless night, a massive gust of wind ripped through and around the house. This wind signified to me that Sam was saying goodbye one final time and that he had maifested onto his next Journey. For the family, I am sorry for your loss. Sam was a Hard Worker, and a loved family member who loved life and will be sorely missed. A short prose... All the years combine They melt into a dream A broken angel sings From a guitar In the end there's just a song Comes crying like the night (wind) Through all the broken dreams And vanished years Stella Blue When all the cards are down There's nothing left to see There's just the pavement left And broken dreams In the end there's still that song Comes crying like the wind Down every lonely street That's ever been Stella Blue I've stayed in every blue-light cheap hotel Can't win for trying Dust off those rusty strings just One more time Gonna make em shine It all rolls into one And nothing comes for free There's nothing you can hold For very long And when you hear that song Come crying like the wind It seems like all this life Was just a dream Stella Blue Grateful Dead – Stella Blue Peace and Light, Your Friend Always Zachary
