Life Story for Mildred Elizabeth Drumgoole

MILDRED ELIZABETH DRUMGOOLE, age 90 years of Whiteford, MD, formerly of Damascus, VA, died on Sunday, February 22, 2015 in her daughter’s home. She was the wife of John Drumgoole who died in 2004.

Born on December 5, 1924 in Pikesville, MD., she was a daughter of the late Hammond and Lillian (Burns) Schafferman and had lived in Whiteford for the past 4 years. In her earlier years, Mrs. Drumgoole had served as a Girl Scout Leader for 11 years with St. Clements Parish in Rosedale, MD and enjoyed family camping vacations. A member of the Slate Ridge American Legion Auxiliary Post #182 of Whiteford, MD, she enjoyed playing bingo, reading and cherished times with her family.

Mrs. Drumgoole had attended St. Mary Catholic Parish in Pylesville, MD.

She is survived by
Six children-
Janice Brewer and her husband, Harold of Towson, MD.
Linda Brown and her husband, Danny of Damascus, VA
Joyce Johnson and her husband, Bob of Whiteford, MD
Michael Drumgoole and his wife, Bonnie of Port Deposit, MD
Raymond Drumgoole and his wife, Kit Tyson of Bel Air, MD
Deborah Holecheck and her husband, Mark of Pylesville, MD

Fifteen grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitations will be held on Friday, February 27, 2015 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, the 28th at St. Mary Catholic Parish, 1021 St. Mary’s Road, Pylesville, MD where the service will begin at 10 a.m. Parish priest, Reverend A. Henry Kunkel, III will be the celebrant.

Interment will be in Gardens of Faith Memorial Park, 5598 Trumps Mill Road, Rosedale, MD 21206. Deacon Phillip Seneschal of St. Mary Catholic Parish will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, her family would appreciate memorial contributions to Stella Maris Hospice Home Care Program, 2300 Dulaney Valley Road, Timonium, MD 21093.
