Life Story for Paul Henry Bennington

PAUL HENRY BENNINGTON, 81 years of Delta, PA, died on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 in York Hospital. Married on November 4, 1961, he was the husband of Sieglinde (Steiger) Bennington, and they had shared 53 years of marriage.

Born on September 7, 1933 in Delta, PA, he was a son of the late Charles and Alice Matilda (Smith) Bennington and a 1951 graduate of the former Delta High School. A welder and foremen, Mr. Bennington worked for Wiley Manufacturing for 29 years, for Fisher Steel and Montgomery Mill Supply in Delta. He was a lifetime member of Slateville Presbyterian Church where he had served as a member of the cemetery association and the Mason-Dixon Lions Club for 40 years. Paul had a deep love for his family and enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters. Prior to his illness later in life, he and his wife enjoyed traveling, especially the trips to Germany.

A daughter, Paula Bollinger and her husband Ron of York, PA

Two granddaughters-
Sarah King and her husband, Alex of Virginia Beach, VA
Hannah Bollinger of York, PA

Two sisters-
Ruth Montgomery of Delta, PA
Doris Himmer of Aberdeen, MD

He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, March 1, 2015 beginning at 2 p.m. at Slateville Presbyterian Church, 308 Slateville Road, Delta, PA.

The family will receive guests following the service in the church social hall.
