Life Story for Elizabeth "Betty" L. Tarbert

Elizabeth "Betty" L.  Tarbert
ELIZABETH L. “BETTY” TARBERT, age 82 years of Jarrettsville, MD, died on Monday, April 13, 2015 at the Senator Bob Hooper Hospice House in Forest Hill, MD. She was the wife of Ronald S. Tarbert and at the time of his passing in 2001, they had shared 39 years of marriage.

Born on September 29, 1932 in Harford County, she was a daughter of the late Millard Leo and Mary Katherine (Poole) Harkins. Mrs. Tarbert was a 1949 graduate of the former Jarrettsville High School and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Parish where she had been very active in church activities. A homemaker, she was known for her cross stitch and crochet talents as well as her beautiful flower gardens.

She is survived by:
Two sons-
Stephen R. Tarbert and his wife, Jackie of Street, MD
Richard L. Tarbert and his wife, Ann of Street, MD

Four grandchildren- Matthew, Laura, Brianna and Kara Tarbert.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA.

A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. on Thursday at St. Mary Catholic Parish, 1021 St. Mary’s Road, Pylesville, MD where her priest, Reverend A. Henry Kunkel, III, will be the celebrant.

Interment will be in the church cemetery with a luncheon to follow in the church social hall.

In lieu of flowers, her family would appreciate memorial contributions to the Senator Bob Hooper House, 2007 Klein Plaza Drive, Forest Hill, MD 21050
