Life Story for Elfreda L. Cox

Elfreda L.  Cox
ELFREDA L. COX, 96 years of Street, MD, died on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 in her home. She was the wife of the late Clarence Cox, Sr. who died in 1977.

Born on March 5, 1919 in Bluefield, WV, she was a daughter of the late Joseph H. and Alice L. (Ratcliffe) Moses and a member of Sharon Freewill Gospel Baptist Tabernacle. A homemaker, Mrs. Cox enjoyed cooking, sewing and spending time with her family.

She is survived by:
Six children-
Norman Cox and his wife, Marcia of Street, MD
Marian Halsey of Street, MD
Judith Evans and her husband, Dennis of Elkton, MD
Richard Cox and his wife, Miki of Jacksonville, NC
Darrell Cox and his wife, Mary of Whiteford, MD
Kenneth Cox and Sandra Osborn of Belcamp, MD

Twenty-five grandchildren, fifty-five great grandchildren and nine plus ¾ great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her children, Clarence Cox, Jr., Ellen L. Dugan, Donna Lutter, David Cox, two granddaughters, Tina Schmidt and Rhonda Parks, and seven sisters.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 18, 2015 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Sharon Freewill Baptist Tabernacle, 3025 Sharon Road, Jarrettsville, MD where the funeral will begin on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Harford Memorial Gardens.
