Life Story for Marjorie Miller Harrington

MARJORIE MILLER HARRINGTON, 89 years, of Albuquerque, NM, formerly of Delta, PA, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2015.

Born August 18th, 1925 in Whiteford, MD, she was a daughter of the late Delmar & Annie Mary (Norris) Miller and stepdaughter of Mary Elizabeth (Daughton) Miller. A 1944 graduate of the former Slate Ridge High School in Cardiff, MD, she was a resident in Delta PA until 2003 when she and her late husband, Worley, moved to Albuquerque, NM to be closer to their son and family. Mrs. Harrington worked as a seamstress at the former D & D Sewing Factory for many years and later helped her husband on the family dairy farm.

Marjorie lost her husband, Worley E. Harrington in 2013 after 67 years of marriage. They eloped on December 26, 1945 and were married at the home of the preacher in Bel Air, MD.

Five great grandchildren

Siblings- William A. Miller and Barbara McCasland, of Abingdon, MD; Dorothy Miller of Whiteford, MD, and Gloria Bornt of Salisbury, MD.

Many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sisters- Ethel Whiteford, Evelyn Baldwin, Margaret Kline, C. Mildred Wright and Jean Maglaughlin as well as her brother Robert (Bud) Miller.

She was loved by many and will be missed by all.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Harkins Funeral Home, Delta, PA where the funeral service will begin on Thursday, the 9th at 11 a.m.

Interment will be in Slate Ridge Cemetery, Delta.
