MONICA BERNHARD, 53, formerly of Street, MD, went home to be with her Savior, Jesus, on Friday, August 14, 2015, following a lengthy but heroic battle with cancer. In her final days, she was surrounded by family and friends and died in the presence of her dear friend, Tim O'Hara, at the Senator Bob Hooper House in Forest Hill, MD.

Monica was a courageous woman who faced many obstacles throughout her life. Cancer did not take her easily, as she was a true fighter. Faith, family, and friends were so important to her. She loved sharing her gift of cooking with anyone who was hungry, as well as singing, dancing, and traveling. She spent several fulfilling years as a flight attendant. Part of her heart always remained with family and friends in both Germany and Nevada.

Her father, Rolf Bernhard
Her mother and step-father, Louise and Charles Haga
Her sister and brother-in-law, Cindy and Donald Rineholt
Her sister and brother-in-law, Claudine and Tommie Thompson

Her nephews and niece:
Adam, Zach, and Josh Tittle
Caleb, Noah, Daniel, and Esther Thompson

Her step-siblings:
Charles Haga, Jr.
Vickie Payne
Karen and Alan Franson
Tammy and Mike Williams

A memorial service will be held at Calvary Chapel Delta, 5911 Delta Road, Delta, PA. 17314 on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Church contact phone: 717-456-7600.
