RHEA ELIZABETH JOHNSON, 81 years of Street, MD, died on Sunday, September 20, 2015 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. She was the wife of Arthur Morgan Johnson who passed away on October 15, 1988.

Born on April 16, 1934 in Cumberland, MD, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence and Clara (Hammann) Shanholtz and had been a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses since 1952, joining the Fawn Grove Congregation in 1976. Mrs. Johnson had worked in various positions beginning with Westinghouse where she assembled components for Apollo (spacecrafts) followed by employment with Blazzie Engineering where she repaired braille machines. In addition, she drove a school bus for Harford County Public Schools followed by working in the Dublin Market for many years.

Mrs. Johnson was an avid vegetable gardener, created beautiful stain glass art, was a fervent teacher of the Bible and was known to be loved by all.

She is survived by;
Three children-
A. Ernest Johnson and his wife, Jenny of Bel Air, MD
David E. Johnson of Conowingo, MD
Pamela A. Gettings and her husband, John of Street, MD

Two sisters-
Treva May Householder of Ohio
Doris Jean George of Fayetteville, PA

Five grandchildren-
Nathan C. Workman and his wife, Tina; David W. Workman and his wife, Casey; Jonathan L. Workman, Timothy E. Johnson and his wife, Jenny; Jamie M. Gettings.

Also survived by 11 great grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her sister, Lena M. Regan.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2015 from 3 – 6:30 p.m. followed immediately with the funeral service beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA.

Tim Johnson of the Fawn Grove Congregation at Jehovah’s Witnesses will lead the service. There will not be any public final resting place services.
