Life Story for Walter Martin Robbins

Walter Martin  Robbins
WALTER MARTIN ROBBINS, 82 years of Fawn Grove, PA, died on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at the Baltimore VA Medical Center. Born on May 14, 1933 in Alliance, NE, he was a son of the late Walter Albert and Lola Mildred (Groce) Robbins.

Mr. Robbins was a U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Korean Era and lived for many years throughout Southern, CA. He had worked as an aircraft flight line mechanic for both Convair Aircraft in Seattle, WA and Lockheed in San Diego, CA. He also worked as a ship fitter for Todd Shipyards, in Seattle, WA and for National Steel in San Diego, CA. Although able to retire in 1980, he continued to work in various occupations for many companies. In 2014, he moved with his daughter and son-in-law to Fawn Grove. Mr. Robbins was known as a devoted single father and adopted father. He appreciated the craftsmanship in old cars and loved to tinker and repair things.

Vicki Robbins of Tucson, AZ

Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by siblings, Nita, John, and Austy.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 16, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA.

Military interment with honors will be held on May 18, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery http://www.cem.va.gov/cems/nchp/indiantowngap
