DAISY LILLIAN LOWE, 95 years, died in her home on Saturday, January 16, 2016. She was the wife of Harry G. Lowe, and at the time of his death on April 2, 2009, they had shared over 55 years of marriage.

Born on April 22, 1920 in Hellam, York, Co., PA, she was a daughter of the late William Henry and Lydia Elizabeth (Leland) Paules. Due to the loss of her parents at an early phase of life, Mrs. Lowe spent some of her childhood at the Childrens’ Home in York, PA and was later cared for by her foster parents – the late E. Cleveland and Lida H. Waltimyer. Prior to her marriage, she was a seasonal employee for the former Canning House in Fawn Grove.

After her marriage, Mrs. Lowe worked for Petti-Frocks, the former sewing factory in Fawn Grove, PA and the former Stewartstown Sewing Factory in Stewartstown, PA. In addition, she was known as a hardworking farm wife loving the agricultural life, working with farm animals and was known for her vegetable gardening. Mrs. Lowe attended Norrisville United Methodist Church where her services will be held on Wednesday.

She is survived by:
Two children-
Ruth Ann Smith and Harry E. Lowe, both of Pylesville, MD

Two grandchildren-
Christopher M. Smith of Pylesville, MD
Jennifer R. Wilson of Whiteford, MD

A great grandson, Samuel Wilson of Whiteford, MD

She was preceded in death by
Her siblings-Laura Ellen Paules Bankert, William Henry Paules, Clarence Franklin Paules and Mary Jane Paules Harman.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 from 10 a.m. to noon, followed immediately with the funeral service at noon at Norrisville United Methodist Church, 2811 West Church Road, White Hall, MD. Her pastor, Reverend Melissa McDade will officiate.

Interment will be in Bel Air Memorial Gardens at 2:15 p.m. at graveside in the Christis Garden section, Bel Air, MD.
