Life Story for Phyllis Jean Streett

Phyllis Jean  Streett
PHYLLIS JEAN STREETT, 97 years of Street, MD, died on Saturday, January 16, 2016 in Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, Bel Air, MD. She was the wife of the late Joseph M. Streett, Jr.; at the time of his death on April 5, 1996, they had shared 57 years of marriage.

Born on March 19, 1918 in Grassy Creek, NC, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Sarah Helen (May) Hash and had worked 16 years for the former Fawn Grove Sewing Factory in Fawn Grove, PA. A member of Holy Cross Episcopal Church, she was also a member of the Auxiliary Board for numerous years. A homemaker, Mrs. Streett enjoyed cooking and gardening.

She is survived by:
Two sons-
Joseph M. Streett, III and his wife, Donna of Street, MD
James R. Streett, widower of Patricia Ann, with whom she had resided, of Street, MD

A half brother, Walter Hash of Dublin, MD

Five grandchildren-
Charles Davis, Michael Davis, James P. Streett, Craig Allen Streett and Wendy Jo Streett

Six great grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her daughter in 2002, Barbara Davis.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2016 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA.

Funeral services will be held at Holy Cross Episcopal Church, 4603 Rocks Road, Street, MD on Friday beginning at 11 a.m. with Reverend Marta D.V. Johnson, Parish Vicar as celebrant.

Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
