Life Story for Dorothy Amos Foard

On January 22, 2016, DOROTHY AMOS FOARD, age 86 died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late Frank Howard and Maude (Townsley) Amos. She was preceded in death by her sister Margaret Amos, and survived by her sister Arlene Mallory and brother George Amos. She was the beloved wife of Samuel B. Foard, Jr. for 64 years. She was the devoted mother of Constance Richardson and her husband Frank, Edith Jones and her husband R. Stephen, Carol Miller and her husband Roderick, and Kristine Hopkins and her husband Nelson. She was the loving grandmother of Melissa Milligan and her husband Darren, Jennifer Jones, Bradley Richardson and his wife Jordan, Andrew Adams, Trevor Richardson, Kaitlyn Hopkins, Allison Hopkins, and Jordan Miller and his wife Rachel. She was the doting great-grandmother of Stephen Milligan, Colton Milligan, and Rhen Allen-Miller. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 27 from 4:30 to 7:30 pm at Emory United Methodist Church, 911 Cherry Hill Road, Street, MD 21154. Funeral services will be in the church on Thursday, January 28 at 11:00am. Interment will immediately follow in the adjoining church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Emory United Methodist Church at PO Box 94, Street, MD 21154.
