Life Story for Lillian Josefa Bradley

Lillian Josefa Bradley
LILLIAN JOSEFA BRADLEY, age 85 years of Pylesville, MD, died at 12:18 p.m. on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at the Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air. She was the wife of James B. Bradley, Sr.; they observed their 70th wedding anniversary on October 13, 2015.

Mrs. Bradley was born on June 20, 1930 in Dnesisek, Czechoslovakia, a daughter of the late Frankisek and Vilma (Bartova) Janouskova. She met her future husband during his service with the U.S. Army in Czechoslovakia near the conclusion of World War II. Upon his return to the US, Mr. Bradley orchestrated the necessary paperwork to bring his bride, Lillian to the states. In the summer of 1945, she arrived in New York City, and to celebrate they went to Coney Island.

Mrs. Bradley was employed for many years at the former S.S. Kresge Company in Timonium, MD and later worked for ten years at Valley View Farms in Cockeysville. Horticulture was her hobby, and she was known to have a “green thumb.”

Noreen Joyce Riina Bradley of the East Hampton, NY

Three grandchildren-
Christine Bradley of Columbus, OH
