PAUL MARTIN SHELLEY, 62 years of Delta, PA, died on Monday, May 16, 2016 in his home. Born on April 6, 1954 in York, PA, he was a son of Geraldine (Hutton) Shelley of Fawn Grove, PA and the late Sterling C. Shelley. Paul was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving from 1976 to 1980. Paul was a longtime employee at Taylor’s Service Center in Delta prior to his employment with Aberdeen Proving Ground. Retiring as a locksmith for APG, Paul was proud of his locksmith education. He served as a volunteer firefighter and EMT for Station #57 Delta-Cardiff Volunteer Fire Company where he had been certified as a scuba rescuer.

Paul was very fond of motorcycles and was a founding member of the Legion Riders, where he faithfully rode with fellow veterans for 8 years in addition to serving as their first director. An avid hunter, Paul was known to collect guns.

Graveside services will be held on Sunday, May 22, 2016 at 2 p.m. Please gather at graveside in Mt. Nebo Cemetery, 962 Flintville Road, Delta, PA.

In Paul’s memory, motorcycle riders are welcome and encouraged to attend.
