Life Story for Terry E. Thompson

Terry E.  Thompson
TERRY E. THOMPSON., 52 years of Brogue, PA died Tuesday the evening of June 21, 2016 after a courageous second battle with cancer in the loving presence of his wife and family. Married May 5, 1984, he was the loving husband of Lorrainne A. (Stokes) Thompson, sharing 32 years together. Born on February 12, 1964 in York, PA he was a son of Robert L. & Connie M. (Laird) Thompson.

Terry was best described as a mentor and friend. He loved hunting and fishing and was the Secretary of the Collinsville Fish & Game Club of which he had been a member since high school. Terry founded the Ryan Thompson Memorial Fund through the game club after the loss of his son. He was a hunting guide and instructor for the game club youth. Terry loved to be surrounded by his family and friends. He was a 1982 automotive graduate of the York County Vo Tech. He loved the mountains and spending time at the family cabin in Clinton County. Terry will be missed for his giving spirit, genuine friendship, extreme kindness and sense of humor that was filled with
lots of wisdom.

In addition to his wife and parents, Terry is survived by:
four siblings-
R. Franklin Thompson and his wife, Robin of Windsor, PA
Tamara L. Trump and her husband Ricky of Brogue, PA
Sharon M. Whitehead and her husband Ricky of Airville, PA
Vicki L. Solomon and her husband Douglas of Brogue, PA

His nephew Casey with whom he developed a special father-son relationship since the passing of his own son, Ryan E. Thompson.

Many dearly loved nieces and nephews whom Uncle Terry enjoyed spending time with all of them.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 24, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at McKendree United Methodist Church, 3708 Delta Rd. Airville, PA followed immediately with a funeral service at 12:30 p.m. Interment will take place at the church cemetery. Reverend Gary L. Daugherty will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Ryan Thompson Memorial Fund at the Collinsville Fish & Game Club, 12456 Game Club Rd., Brogue, PA 17309
