Life Story for Edward Allen Garvine
EDWARD ALLEN GARVINE, 81 years of Delta, PA, died on Sunday, July 17, 2016 at York Hospital. Born on March 21, 1935 in the Woodbine Area of lower York County, PA, he was a son of the late Clarence and Jane (Dugan) Garvine.
A lifetime resident of York County, Mr. Garvine was a dedicated member of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church of Fawn Grove where he served numerous years on the cemetery association. Teaching math for South Eastern School District and the Red Lion Area School District, Mr. Garvine retired with 35 years of service. Later in life, Mr. Garvine worked as a handyman.
He is survived by:

Brian A. Garvine and his wife, Deborah of Delta, PA
Robert A. Garvine of Delta
Three siblings-
Richard Garvine of Forest Hill, MD
Donald Garvine and his wife, Linda of Myrtle Beach, SC
Janet Whiteford and her husband, Les of Whiteford, MD
A granddaughter, Meghan Garvine of Delta, as well as two nieces and two nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA where the funeral service will begin on Friday at 11 a.m. Pastor Beth R. Holz of The Peach Bottom Charge will officiate.
Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Fawn Grove, PA with military honors presented by the York County Veterans Honor Guard.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jim Archer, Pat Lenzi, John Miller, Les Whiteford, Dennis Normhold and Richard Normhold.
In lieu of flowers, his family would appreciate memorial contributions to Mt. Olivet U.M. Church, 786 Mt. Olivet Church Road, Fawn Grove, PA 17321.
