SAMUEL DAVID ROBERTS, JR., 75 years of Delta, PA, died on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. Born on March 30, 1941 in Delta, PA, he was a son of the late Samuel David Roberts, Sr., and Gertrude (Waters) Roberts.

Mr. Roberts had been a member with New Covenant Community Church in Delta for many years and thoroughly enjoyed attending services and social events with his church family. He was known to watch western movies on television and one of his favorites drinks was root beer.

His cousin, Myrtle Morris with whom he had shared “home” with for over 40 years in addition to many loving extended family members.

Services will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA with a viewing to be held from 9:30 until 10 a.m.

His pastor, Reverend Lanny D. Kilgore will officiate with interment in Slate Ridge Cemetery, Delta.
