Life Story for Clarence A. Knopp

Clarence A.  Knopp
On September 24, 2016, CLARENCE A. “SPIKE” KNOPP was reunited with his parents, Noah and Mamie (McCann) Knopp, his siblings and many friends as he passed peacefully from this world. Born in 1918, he was a lifelong resident of Delta, PA and had been an employee of the former MA&PA Railroad from 1938-1978.

Spike was a WWII Veteran having served in Normandy and England 1941-1945 and was instrumental in establishing the local John S. Murphy VFW Post #7130 where he assisted with daily operations for many years. He enjoyed the mountains, fishing, hunting, country music, baseball, football and marching in the annual Delta Parade as a member of the VFW Foreign Squad. He was also known for his daily walks through Delta.

He will be missed by:
His beloved son, John Knopp, and wife Melinda (Howlett) Knopp

His grandsons, Erik Knopp and Aaron Knopp

His many additional family members and friends.

There will be no public services and inurnment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to:
