Obituary for Charlotte H. Baldwin
Charlotte H. Baldwin, age 88 of Bel Air, MD died on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Senator Bob Hooper House in Forest Hill. She was the wife of George L. Baldwin with whom she shared 67 years of marriage. Born on September 13, 1928 in Churchville, MD, she was a daughter of the late Melvin and Hazel (Hamilton) Keen. Charlotte and her husband lived in Hagerstown, MD from 1952 to 1983 where she worked as an administrative aide in the office of Dr. Crisp and later as an administrative assistant for Washington County while raising her four sons. A longtime member of the Emory United Methodist Church, Mrs. Baldwin was a past president of the United Methodist Women. Her hobbies included crocheting and gardening.

Her four sons: Ronald L. Baldwin and his wife Jeanette of Monkton, MD, Paul D. Baldwin and his wife Jodie of Tallahassee, FL, Lawrence C. “Larry” Baldwin and his wife Diane of New Bern, NC, Raymond A. Baldwin and his wife, Christa of Charlotte, NC.
Charlotte enjoyed following the lives of her eight grandchildren: Julia Taylor, Laura Scharle, Brian Baldwin, Andrew Baldwin, Randie Williams, Mitchell Baldwin, Emily Baldwin and Gregory Baldwin. Charlotte and George have one great grandson: Patrick Scharle.
Charlotte is also survived by one sister, Nancy Streett of Bel Air, MD and was preceded in death by five siblings.
A memorial service and celebration of Charlotte’s life will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2016 beginning at 11 a.m. at the Emory United Methodist Church, 911 Cherry Hill Road, Street, MD 21154. The service was followed by a reception.
