RICHARD R. ALBAN, SR., 77, of Delta, PA, passed away surrounded by his family on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at Upper Chesapeake Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Richard was the loving husband of Frances R. (Day) Alban with whom he shared 19 years of marriage. Born April 24, 1939, he was the son of the late Herbert Leroy and Esther L. (Wise) Alban.

Richard chose a career of service, proudly serving others as a Baltimore County fire fighter. Retiring in 1999, he was able to spend more time enjoying his home in Englewood, Florida where he would golf with his friends. He also enjoyed summers in Millsboro, Delaware fishing and crabbing. Richard loved being around his family and friends, often playing cards or engaging his family in their activities. Richard was a devoted father and grandfather, actively involved with his family.

He is preceded by his brother Robert Alban.

Services will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA with a visitation from 11 to 12 p.m. followed immediately with the memorial service at noon. Pastor Jim Reeves will officiate with interment at Bryansville Cemetery, Delta, PA. Services will include a life celebration for his brother, Robert “Bobby” Alban who passed two-years prior on December 2, 2014.
