Obituary for Joseph L. (Larry) Murphy Sr.
JOSEPH LAWRENCE (Larry) MURPHY, SR, 58, of Street, MD died suddenly on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Upper Chesapeake Hospital. Born February 18, 1958, he was a son of Robert and Roberta (Heimz) Murphy, Sr. He was the loving husband of Theresa Lynn (Riffey) Murphy.
Larry enjoyed his work and was a faithful employee at Cleary’s Transportation Company for 35 years as a tow truck operator and mechanic. Spending time on the beach in Ocean City, MD was his favorite get-away. Larry loved his family and was actively engaged in their lives. His friendship and love will be missed by many.
In addition to his wife, Larry is survived by

Tiffany Murphy of Darlington, MD
Cathy Jo Murphy of Street, MD
Two grandchildren-
Cameron Murphy
Cherish Riley
Three siblings-

His mother-in-law, Nancy Riffey
He is preceded by two siblings-

Visitation will be held Monday, January 16, 2017 from 4 – 8 p.m. in Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main St. Delta, PA. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, January 17 from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. at Harkins Funeral Home where the Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 p.m. officiated by Pastor Jim Wright. Interment will immediately follow at Dublin Southern Cemetery.
In memory of Larry, contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 636 W Lexington St, Baltimore, MD 21201
