Life Story for Freddie Zinn Dickerson, Jr.

Freddie Zinn  Dickerson, Jr.
FREDDIE ZINN DICKERSON, JR., 85 years of Street, MD, died in his home on Thursday, February 16, 2017. Married on December 6, 1952, he had shared 64 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Mary Estelle (Milby) Dickerson.

A son of the late Freddie Zinn Dickerson and Lillian Victoria (Metcalf) Dickerson, he was born on June 19, 1931 in Charlottesville, VA. Serving in the Korean War with the U.S. Army 19th Infantry Regiment 24th Division, Mr. Dickerson had been awarded two bronze stars. Dedicating 32 years with the Patapsco Back River Railroad in Sparrows Point, MD, he had worked as a brakeman/conductor retiring in 1962.

Mr. Dickerson enjoyed hunting, selling tools locally from his truck and was known as a dedicated husband and family man.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by:
Three children-
Maryanne Maines of Street, MD
Freddie Zinn Dickerson, III of Street, MD
Janette E. Crouse of Havre de Grace, MD

Two grandchildren and five great grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his two sisters.
