Life Story for Dorothy Watson Satterfield

Dorothy Watson Satterfield
DOROTHY WATSON SATTERFIELD, 85 years of Delta, PA, died on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at the Mennonite Home in Lancaster, PA. Born on March 15, 1932 in Fawn Grove, PA, she was a daughter of the late Herbert and Izola (Neal) Almoney and a graduate of the former Delta High School.

Dorothy was the wife of Donald Watson until his death, and later married Fredrick Satterfield, who also preceded her in death. She had worked for the Bechtel Corporation at the Peach Bottom Nuclear Plant during the construction of units #2 and #3; later hired by PECO when the units were complete to stay on as a document service supervisor until her retirement in 1991. Dorothy enjoyed visiting with folks and was a familiar face at the Delta Family Restaurant. Caring and compassionate described Dottie; she truly never met a stranger.

A lifetime member of Mt. Olivet U.M. Church in Fawn Grove, she was faithful with the church prayer chain and had been a member of Penn Mary Chapter #72 Order of Eastern Star located in Cardiff, MD.
Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

She is survived by:
