Life Story for Joni G. Kauffman
JONI G. KAUFFMAN, 58 years of Delta, PA, died in her home on Sunday, June 18, 2017. She was the beloved wife of Barry Kauffman, and they would have celebrated their 24th wedding anniversary on Monday, the 26th of June.
Born on September 13, 1958 in York, PA, she was the daughter of Nelda (Van Hart) Griffith of Delta and the late Leroy Allen Griffith who passed away in 1973. Joni was a 1976 graduate of Kennard Dale High School and had worked at the Peach Bottom Nuclear Plant as a secretary for 14 years. From 1995 until 2015, she was as an EMT for the Yoe, Brogue and Red Lion Ambulance services as well as volunteering for both the Airville and Delta-Cardiff Vol. Fire Companies. From 2011 through 2016, she was the owner/operator of the former Cape Horn Restaurant in Red Lion, PA.

Jennifer Beideman and her husband, James of Quarryville, PA
Jason Stokes and his wife, Lacey of Virginia Beach, VA
Kayla Kauffman of York, PA
Kasey Kauffman of Middle River, MD
Eleven grandchildren-Peyton, Paige, Jimmy, Rebecca, Chloe, Hunter, Kylie Ann, Gracie, Savannah, Brooke and Kylie.
Her husband’s parents: Porter and Hilda Kauffman
Her husband’s brother: Bart Kauffman and his wife, Rachelle.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Darrell Griffith.
Services will be held at New Covenant Community Church, 284 Slab Road, Delta, PA with visitations on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday with Reverend Lanny D. Kilgore officiating. Interment will take place in Salem Cemetery, Delta, PA.
Her family would appreciate memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, 636 W Lexington St, Baltimore, MD 21201 in lieu of flowers.
