Jarl Sprott McDaniel 91, died June 21, 2017 in Dallas, Texas. He was born November 22, 1925 to Archie Simms McDaniel and Margaret Forbis McDaniel in Washington, DC. He married Margaret Bodine on June 5, 1953 in Darlington, Maryland. He was a sales manager for General Foods for 32 years. He served in the Navy and Army Coast Guard and a member of National Rifle Association.

Jarl was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Peg McDaniel.

He is survived by his daughter, Beth Ray of Dallas, Texas, Susan Hill and husband, David of British Columbia, Canada; grandson, Michael Colton Ray.

Our kind gracious and loving father and friend will be missed. He could tell a great story-- some of it true, but it was always entertaining. Everyone he met was a friend.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Restland Funeral Home.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
