Life Story for Grace Viola Holloway

GRACE VIOLA HOLLOWAY, 76 years of Abingdon, MD, died on Monday, June 26, 2017 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. She was the wife of William Holloway who passed away in 1994.

Born on January 10, 1941 in York, PA, Grace was a daughter of the late Calvin John Gibbs and Mary Amelia (Kitner) Gibbs.

Grace was devoted to her loving family and was known to be strong in her faith. Family was important as well as traveling, especially to Montana to visit with her sister. She had worked for the Maryland House in Aberdeen, was an excitable fan when watching baseball, football and wrestling on television and purchased an X-Box just to play Monopoly.

She is survived by:

Sister Ann Mankin of Billings, MT

Twelve grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren

Grace is preceded in death by twin daughters Flora Cochran and Mary Holloway and three brothers, Alvin, Gene and Lester Paul Williams.

A viewing will be held on Friday, June 30, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street Delta, PA and the funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 1 at Trinity Free Will Baptist Church, 3414 Cedar Church Rd, Darlington, MD with Pastor Phillip G. Dunaway officiating.

Interment will be in Jarrettsville Cemetery.

Funeral staff will be outside during all services to assist with parking as well as handicap needs.
