FRANKLIN LEROY JONES, 71 years of Whiteford, MD, died on Sunday, January 28, 2018 in the Senator Bob Hooper House in Forest Hill, MD. He was the beloved and devoted husband of Marie E. (Morris) Jones, and they had shared 28 years of marriage.

Born on June 4, 1946 in Harford County, MD, he was a son of the late Robert Andrew and Clare Margaret (Founds) Jones and a lifetime resident of Harford County. Known as a skilled welder, Frank had worked for the former Wiley Shipyard in Port Deposit, MD, for Harford Metal in Aberdeen, S.S. Fisher Steel as well as Goodhart Steel, both in Lancaster, PA and as a security guard for Burns Security at the Peach Bottom Nuclear Plant in Delta, PA. In addition, he drafted the door mappings for the plant that are currently still in use. Mr. Jones enjoyed car show, country music and was an avid reader.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Lawrence Jones.

Services will be held on Friday, February 2, 2018 at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA with a visitation from 11 to 12 noon followed immediately with the funeral service. Pastor Alex Ertel of Calvary Chapel, Delta will officiate.

Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Airville, PA.
