Obituary written by her loving family
PATRICIA DARLENE (JONES) NUNN, 71 of Rising Sun, MD, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Thursday, July 11, 2019 in her home. She was the beloved wife of Robert Nunn, Sr. of Rising Sun MD.
Born March 29, 1948, she was a daughter of the late Robert Andrew Jones, Sr. and Clara Margaret (Founds) Jones. Pat was a North Harford High School graduate who went on to a 33 year career with the Federal Government, retiring in 1999. After her retirement she enjoyed her life, travelled with her husband and spent endless hours in her garden tending to her flowers and keeping the prettiest yard in the area. She was a devoted grandmother to her three grandchildren and through the years could be found either on a baseball field with AJ, “playing horses” in the dirt with Maggie or trying to keep up with Ahnu. She was game for anything.
As a member of the Porters Grove Baptist Church she found her calling, deeply involving herself with its congregation and particularly finding a deep love for the youth of the church…she loved them completely. Their loss is profound.Throughout her life, she wrote poetry, from a young girl sat on a rock on the family property on Ridge Rd.,in Whiteford, to just within the last months. Her latest (found) dated May of 2019.

Three brothers, Robert A. Jones, Jr., Laurence Jones, Franklin Jones
A viewing will be held on Wednesday July 17, 2019 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Harkins Funeral Home, Inc., 600 Main Street, Delta, PA 17314. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Porters Grove Baptist Church, 475 Conely Road, Rising Sun, MD 21911 with Pastor Steven Dixon officiating.
