Obituary for Barbara A. Baity

Barbara Irene Armstrong Baity passed away on December 14, 2020 in Hendersonville, North Carolina. She is survived by her husband, Warren Mason Baity and her brother ,Phillip E.A. Armstrong (Maggie). Her pride and joy were her two children, Deborah Gerlach (Steve) and Daniel Baity (Shirley). Her grandchildren, Julie Reynolds Katherine McClees (Ricky) , Rebekah Powell (Brad), Ryan Baity (Jennifer) and Kimberly Ryan (John) filled her heart with immense love. Her love of family was further enhanced as she welcomed her great grandchildren; Adam Abdelkefi, Sami Abdelkefi, Maddox McClees, Derek McClees, Elias Baity, Ryan J. Baity, Tiberius Powell, Mackoy Powell , Emma Ryan and Regan Ryan.
Barbara is the daughter of the late Marie Armstrong (Heaps) and Alan E. Armstrong. Barbara is pre-deceased by her sisters, Sue Schantz and Mary Grahlman. She was raised in Baltimore City and graduated from Eastern High School before moving to Aberdeen after her marriage. A move to Darlington several years later was following by caring for her family, involvement in the Darlington Methodist Church and many community activities. She found great joy in her sewing, painting and supporting her children in their activities. She was known for her love of get “togethers” and great friends. Trips to Ireland, Paris and Tunisia were among her favorite memories. The fierce love and protectiveness of her family is a trait we will remember and cherish as she moves to her beloved Lord and Savior.
