Obituary for Charles Carroll Moulton

Charles C. Moulton, 89, of Street, MD, died at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, Bel Air, MD on Wednesday, February 1, 2023. He was born in Baltimore, MD to his late parents, Oscar S. and Mildred M. (Fickus) Moulton. He was married to his beloved wife Geraldine S. Moulton who preceded him in death on March 17, 2013.

Charles, or “Carroll” as he was fondly known by many, grew up in Baltimore and graduated from Patterson High School. He then served his country honorably in the United State Marine Corps. After discharge, he attended and graduated from Towson State University. He taught school for over 30 years in the Baltimore County Public School System, beginning at Parkville Middle School and then ending his tenure at Perry Hall Middle School.

When not in the classroom, Charles cherished the time he spent with his family. He enjoyed outdoor activities like crabbing, fishing, camping, boating and traveling. He also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. He and his late wife Geraldine were members of The Church of the Ascension in Street, MD. He will always be remembered as a caring, kind, quiet and gentle soul, who was always willing to play a good joke on those he loved.

Charles is survived by his three sons, Charles C. (Laura) Moulton, Jr., Glenn M. Moulton and David W. (Sherry) Moulton. He is also survived by his granddaughter, Rebecca Moulton and her husband Brian Anders. His great grandchildren, Kiley Anders, Jacob Bloom and Brian Anders will always remember the joy and love they shared with Charles.

In addition to his beloved wife and parents, Charles was predeceased by one sister, MaryEmma Benson.

Viewings will be held at Harkins Funeral Home, Inc., 600 Main Street, Delta, PA on Saturday, February 11, 2023 from 3 pm until 5 pm and again from 7pm until 9 pm. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Sunday, February 12, 2023 at 1 pm with Reverend Nick McDonald officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Ascension Cemetery, Street, MD.
