Charlotte M. “Ducky” Baker, 91, of Felton, PA, passed to be with her loving Frank on Wednesday, February 15, 2023. Ducky was born in Red Lion, PA, to her late parents, Leonard C. and Laura Mae (Howard) Urey Eaton. She was married to her beloved husband, Frank M. Baker, until his death on July 22, 1997.

Ducky was raised in Woodbine and was a graduate of the former Lower Chanceford High School class of 1950. Ducky was strong and steadfast in her faith and a loved her Lord and Savior. She was a member of the former Delta United Methodist Church. She had many joys in her life; quilting and playing dominos were two of her favorites. She was quick witted, honest, loving and artistic. She was a pastel painter and her works could be found in local exhibits and the former Delta Bank. She held memberships in the Farm Women’s Group #21, of Airville and Quilting on the Line.

Ducky is survived by her children; Frank M. Baker, Jr., of Rising Sun, MD, Sheree L. Shermeyer, of York, PA, and Robert A. (Tracie) Baker, of Felton, PA. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Crystal (Jamie) Rittenhouse, of Felton, PA, Angela S. Simpson (James Dugan), of Quarryville, PA, Kaela Shermeyer McLarney, Leaha Shermeyer, and a step-grandson, Jim Dye. Three loving great-grandchildren, Doug Simpson, Matthew Dugan and James Dugan will forever cherish her memory.

In addition to her beloved Frank and her parents, Ducky was predeceased by her siblings; Marion Urey Grove, Glenn Urey, Carrie Urey Mundis, Irene Urey Criswell, Emma Urey Bowman, Alverta Dolly Urey Smith and Richard Dean (Carl Thomas) Eaton. Ducky was also predeceased by a dear family friend, Simon L. Holmes.

All services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
