Obituary for Clinton Adams

CLINTON ADAMS, 83 of Darlington, MD, passed away on Friday, March 26, 2021 in Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, Bel Air, MD. Married on March 10, 1962, he was the beloved husband of Joyce Ann (Browning) Adams with whom he shared 59 years of marriage.

Known as “Cliff” he was born in Baltimore, MD on August 11, 1937, the youngest of eleven children born to the late James I. Adams and Regina Edith (DeBoard) Adams and was a twin brother to his sister, Clyde Irene Bunce who died in 1999. Cliff had served in the U.S. Army followed with working as a water plant operator for 34 years at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD, retiring in March 1997. He was a longtime attendee/supporter of Dublin United Methodist Church and a 50+ member of Stephenson Lodge #135 A.F.&A.M. of Darlington where he was adorned with the recognition of honorary past master.

Cliff enjoyed the outdoors, spending time gardening and passionately mowing the lawn. He was known for his love of cookies and apple pie, his beautiful smile and gentle spirit.

A sister, Edyth Jorstad of Fairfax Station, VA

He was preceded in death by:
His infant son, Clinton Adams, Jr. in 1963 and his loving siblings-
Agnes, John, Bessie, Vester, Lorraine, Dottie, Wayne and Jim.
