Dale Lee Bertsch, age 63 years of Airville, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully at his home on May 10, 2020, with his beloved Pam Harkins of 42 years by his side. Born in Havre de Grace, Maryland, he was the son of Joann (Ott) and Paul Donald Bertsch, both of whom preceded him in death.

Dale was known among his friends and family for his unique artistic creativity and woodworking craftsmanship. There are many homes throughout Pennsylvania and Maryland that feature Dale’s carpentry skills and his astute attention to detail. Through the years, he and Pam enjoyed camping and fishing. Although he found joy in riding his Harley, his true passion was carving. A self-taught artisan, Dale shared his generosity and love for others through the hours he spent meticulously detailing the works he gave to his family and friends

Dale is survived by his brother, David Bertsch, and David’s wife Joanne; his three nephews, Zeb, Adam, and Chris Bertsch; and two step nieces, Courtney Wood and Allison Thompson. He is also survived by Pam’s brothers Gordon and Larry Harkins and their respective families.

A celebration of life will be held in the future on a date to be determined.
