DONALD EUGENE SHANBARGER, 81 of Red Lion, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 in his home. He was the beloved husband for 52 years of Gloria Deane (Smith) Shanbarger.

Born on November 13, 1940 in Peach Bottom Township, York Co., he was one of four children born to the late Henry and Emma (Kilgore) Shanbarger and a 1958 graduate of Kennard Dale High School in Fawn Grove, PA. Donald retired in 2000 after 38 years of employment with Autokraft Box Corporation in Brogue, PA. In his younger years, he had worked for the former apple orchards owned by the Richardson Family in Fawn Grove, enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing cards. Donald was a 30+ year member of the Brogue Lions Club and 30 + year member of Bethany United Methodist Church in Red Lion, PA.

Traveling to Ocean City, MD was a favorite vacation trip for Donald and his wife. In retirement, he worked for Pleasant Valley Golf Course in the pro-shop and had been a longtime golfer. His smile and gentle calmness will be missed.

Six grandchildren-Amanda Urey, Tyler Burkins, Isaiah Gingrich, Abigail Gingrich, Jordan Shanbarger and Jenny Brown.

Four great grandchildren- Gatlin Urey, Hagan Urey, Kenneth Burkins and Grace Brown.
