We shared a special bond. Our firstborn children married, and we shared two beautiful grandchildren. When I think back to all the recitals, holidays, and birthdays, I remember how happy the grandchildren were to have all four of us there. These were special memories that we will cherish. We loved her and will miss her.

My condolences to Donna's family and friends. I have been a friend of her daughter Carol for about 20 years now. Donna was such a great mother and such a warm person. She was definitely a fighter and a true pioneer. I know she did a trial at Hopkins and was one of the responders of that trial. I am sure the knowledge that Hopkins and other researchers gained from her participating in this trial will further help them develop a cure for this terrible disease.
