Dorothy E. Cataldi, 77, of Brogue, PA, died on December 16, 2022 at Pappus House, York. Dorothy was born in Baltimore, MD, to her late parents, Joseph W. and Dorothy (Wilson) Gillespie. She was married to her husband Marvin J. Cataldi, Sr. for 59 years this past July.

Dorothy moved from Baltimore to Brogue in 1988. She loved her family dearly. In her free time, Dorothy loved to shop with her daughters, being especially fond of antiques. While in her home, she loved to cook for anyone that was there. She was well known to only eat her own cooking and taste sparingly of someone else’s. She will always be remembered for her loving kindness and her willingness to play along with any joke.

In addition to her husband, Dorothy is survived by her children, Beverly Turney, of Nantucket, MA, Barbara Cataldi and her significant other John Bowman of Exton, PA, Joseph (Christina) Cataldi, of Loganville, PA and Christina (Russell) Guynn, of Brogue, PA. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Brittany, Kayda, Emily and Asher and four great grandchildren, Amira, Sophee, Lyla and Scarlett. In addition, she is survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy was predeceased by one brother, Donald W. Gillespie, Sr.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2023 from 12 until 2 pm at Harkins Funeral Home, Inc., 600 Main Street, Delta, PA. A Memorial Service will begin at 2 pm at the funeral home with Corey Burnard officiating.
