ELWOOD T. KRICK, 75 of Brogue, formerly of Delta, PA, died on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 in WellSpan York Hospital. Married on December 24, 1986, he had been the beloved husband for over 32 years of Mary Eunice (Neeper) Krick.

Born on May 10, 1944 in York, PA, he was a son of the late Catherine Krick VanHoy who died the month prior to his passing. Elwood had a strong love of agriculture whether it was milking the cows, caring for the calves, planting in the spring, tending the fields or harvesting the crops. A familiar sight at his farm in Delta was Elwood in his old orange hat driving one of his John Deere tractors or pieces of equipment. He was always interested in learning more about farming and attended the Kennard Dale High School Young Farmers program, a member of the York County Farm Bureau and strived to attend Ag Progress Days hosted by Penn State Department of Agriculture each August. He was known to be an avid reader of the Lancaster Farming newspaper. Elwood and Eunice sold the farm in 2015 and moved to their current home in Brogue. He enjoyed traveling and was quite fond of going to Sprint Car Races at local speedways.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by:
Two children-
Tina M. Decker and her husband, Michael of Hood River, OR
Alan Neeper and his wife, Jayne of New Park, PA

Two sisters-
Trudy Ann Goodermuth of Wyoming, DE
Mary Rita McGreevy of Fawn Grove, PA

Six grandchildren-
Lynne Mitzel of Jefferson, PA
Andrea Butler of Cascade, ID
Corey Neeper of Stewartstown, PA
Lauren Decker of Hood River, OR
Brittany Neeper of New Park, PA
Erin Decker of Hood River, OR

Two great granddaughters: Breanna and Bailey of Jefferson, PA

He was preceded in death by his sister, Debbie Tucker.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 21st from 5 to 8 p.m. in Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA.

Elwood was always attending many of the Young Farmer meeting we held. I considered him a friend as well as a member of the group. He and I had many discussions on the best practices he could use on his farm. I remember the times we had together with very good memories. I'm sorry we missed the services as we were away.
Rest with God Elwood.

Elwood's Mother Catherine was actually my first cousin, but my sister Clare and I always thought of Elwood and his sisters Ann and Rita as our cousins. We thoroughly enjoyed our summer vacations from our home in New York to the country life at the farm where they all grew up. We played all day with the farm animals, many cats, running wild, taking hikes and getting dirty. Aunt Anna did not spare any of us with her strict words. We all had to abide by the same rules. I will cherish those memories forever.
Rest in Peace Dear Elwood.
