Gerald Patrick Dahler, 74, of Delta, died on Friday, March 11, 2022 at home. Gerald was born in Baldwin, MD to his late parents, Andrew Frederick and Margaret (Coomes) Dahler. He had lived in the Delta area since 1992.
Gerald worked as an electrical foreman for Windsor Electric, retiring after nearly 30 years of continued service. He was a very hardworking man, always willing to put on his hard hat and join those working under his leadership. He was giving and was always willing to help anyone in need. He was an avid gardener and outdoorsman and he loved to eat whatever he harvested, either game or vegetables. Gerald spent many childhood years on the family farm, where he learned his strong work ethic. He also enjoyed his Ford trucks and was a proud member of the NRA.
Gerald is survived by one son: John P. (Denise) Dahler of Brooklyn Park, MD, he is also survived by four grandchildren: Brandi (Brad) Wilson, Brittany Dahler and her fiancé Justin Taylor, Matthew Dahler and his fiancée Anna Mahala and John Dahler, Jr. Ten great grandchildren are left to cherish his memory. Gerald is also survived by brothers: Larry (Kay) Dahler of Pylesville, MD, James R. (Wanda) Dahler of Baltimore, MD and George F. Dahler of California.
In addition to his parents, Gerald was predeceased by siblings: Katherine Dahler, Mary G. Runberg, Carl A. Dahler, Louise Graefe and Charles A. Dahler.
