Obituary for Gloria Ann Hamm
GLORIA ANN (HENSLEY) HAMM, 72 of Hampstead, MD, died in her home on Thursday, January 7, 2021. She was the beloved wife of Marvin L. Hamm who passed away in June of 2008.
Born on June 4, 1948 in Havre de Grace, MD, she was the youngest of four children born to the late Reverend Riley B. Hensley and Mary Catherine (Adams) Hensley and traveled throughout the east coast in the evangelism of her father. As a part of this devout Christian family, she sang hymns as well as playing many musical instruments in worship and on Christian radio stations.
Gloria was very talented, having worked with children in daycare for over fifteen years, created delicious as well as beautiful cakes for various occasions, had worked as a floral designer and a dedicated homemaker. A family oriented woman, she enjoyed family times and cherished her grandchildren.
She is survived by:

Dawn Marie Yingling (Andrew) of Hampstead, MD
Vance Hamm (Brysen) of Delta, PA
Two brothers-
Wade Hensley of Havre de Grace, MD
Herbert Hensley of Lebanon, MO
Eight grandchildren-Donovan, Corey, Heidi, Austin, Dalton, Shaina, Piper and Riley.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Grace McMillan.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 15th at Bel View Freewill Baptist Church, 286 Miller Road, Delta, PA with a viewing from 11 – 12 noon followed immediately with the celebration of Gloria’s life service. Co-officiating will be the church pastors, Reverend Billy Boyd and Reverend Chris Leftridge. Interment to follow in Slate Ridge Cemetery, Delta, PA.
