JAMES ARTHUR YORK, 91 of Delta, PA, passed away in his home on Friday, September 16, 2022. He was the husband of Evelyn M. (Harris) York, and at the time of her death, they had shared 52 years of marriage.
Born on September 19, 1930 in Benson, MD, he was a son of the late Charles Frederick and Hanna (Burke) York and was a US Army Veteran serving in Germany during the Korean War era. Jim will be remembered for his gifted carpentry skills and was a one-man company. Many of the roofs in the Delta area have been repaired by Jim as well as many home improvements. It was said that he could build an entire house with a hammer and wooden folding ruler. He put his heart and soul into his work and was extremely proud of his accomplishments.

Mark A. York (Carol) of Delta, PA
Five grandchildren-
Kenny, Cole, twins- Lisa and Laura; Brody
His brother, Donald York survives him with the remaining siblings preceding him in death. His second wife, Marge Moxley York also preceded him in death.
Private services will be held for his family with military honors presented by the York County Veterans Honor Guard at the graveside.
