Obituary for James Edward Lewis
James Lewis, 47, of, Jacksonville, FL, a loving father and husband, died on October 15, 2022. Jim was born on December 21, 1974 in York, PA to his parents, Van Lewis and Julia Steransky. Jim loved his close relationship with his bonus-father, Roy Steele. Jim married his loving wife, Michelle Lewis on May 5, 1995.
Jim was a graduate of Kennard-Dale High School and York County Vo-Tech. After graduation, Jim joined and proudly served his country as a United States Marine. After his honorable discharge, Jim worked for Cintas Corporation beginning as a route deliveryman in ‘97 and progressing to management in sales winning several national awards. In his spare time, Jim enjoyed spending time with his loving family, watching football and barbequing. Jim will be remembered as an inspiration to everyone who had the joy of knowing him. He was a strong man with a great sense of humor; and a mischievous side, who could make everyone around him laugh.
In addition to his beloved wife, Jim is survived by his loving children: Kayla, Alyssa, Mason and Darian. He is also survived by his siblings: Vano, Bradley, Lance and Daniel. His Grandma Jean, Aunt Virginia, Cousin Rachel and Father and Mother-law, Jack and Malinda Neubert will forever cherish their memories of Jim.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Harkins Funeral Home, Inc., 600 Main Street, Delta, PA from 11:00 until 11:15 a.m. A memorial service will begin at 11:15 with Certified Lay Minister Carol Burkindine of McKendree United Methodist Church officiating.
