Obituary for John Burton Schneider, Jr.
LIFE STORY PREPARED BY HIS FAMILY - John B. Schneider, Jr., 70, of Forest Hill, Maryland, passed away on Thursday January 27, 2022. John grew up on a farm in Glen Arm, Maryland. He enjoyed farming, collecting trains and going to train shows with his friends. His favorite vacation spot was in Cape May, New Jersey. In his early years, John enjoyed going camping and fishing with his family and friends at the Toe River Campground in North Carolina. John was a Master Honda Mechanic for over 50 years and was an avid runner for Team In Training. He loved his church family, Sunday School class and spending time with all of his grandchildren.
John is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Rebecca V. Schneider (Gischel), devoted father to his three children Karen Osborne (Schneider) and her husband Scipio; Kelly Saunders (Schneider) and her husband Bill; son Jonathan Schneider and his wife Hannah.
Dear brother to Sharon, Robert, Daniel, David, William and James. He is also survived by three grandchildren: Lia, William and Matthew along with many uncles, aunts, nephews and nieces.
Beloved son of the late John Burton Schneider Sr. and Louise Schneider (Wooden).
All services will be held at Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church, 3135 Dublin Road, Street, MD 21154. Visitation with his family will be held on Wednesday, February 2nd from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday, the 3rd from 10 – 10:50 a.m. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. with his pastor, Reverend Tracy J. Duvall officiating with interment in Highview Memorial Gardens, Fallston, Maryland.
