Obituary for Joseph Edward Allen
Life story prepared by his loving family-
Joe Allen of Whiteford, MD passed away unexpectedly on February 6, 2021 due to cardiac arrest, onset associated with stress of his passing wife, Marge Allen. He was 80 years of age.
Born in Virginia, he was the son of the late Ted and Louise Hunter of Baltimore, MD. He was married to Marge Allen who passed a few hours after him. Joe is survived by his brother and dear friend, William Glenn Allen. He is also survived by his children, Kevin Collini, Glenn Allen and his wife Susan, and Renee’ Combs and her husband Evan. He was the proud, loving grandfather of 5 grandchildren, Katlyn Wood and her husband Danny, Miles Combs and his wife Melissa, Luke Allen, Abbey Combs, and Katie Allen.
Joe served his country as an Army veteran and worked for over 20 years at American National Can Corporation in Sparrows Point, MD, before ending his career as a truck driver for Robert’s Express. Joe enjoyed studying the Bible and perfecting his favorite dishes. He found great joy in helping others and offered the most innovative solutions, imparting his wisdom on his grandchildren with every chance that he had. Joe was a selfless, caring soul. He was always the first one there and always put others above himself.
